Editor Michael Frank learns about the versatility and performance of Bontrager's Race X Lite wheel system. He was looking for a set of cyclocross wheels that he could also ride on the road after the season was over.

The asymmetrical rear rim seems to help maintain stiffness, and the Swiss-made hubs roll as fast as I can spin. Best of all, this wheel isn't so overbuilt that it wouldn't be a perfect road racing hoop as well.
