Q: Any company can buy wind tunnel time. What makes Bontrager different? A: When combined with Steve Hed, we have more than thirty years combined experience in testing at the wind tunnel, so not only do we know how to interpret the hard data but we also know how to set up the wheel, bike and rider to most closely mimic what really happens on the road. In short, we have nearly twice the experience in the tunnel than our closest competitor.

Q: Why is the carbon structure rigid on the ACC 5.0 wheels? A: We opted to use Rohl-a-cell foam cores in the rims of the 5.0ACC because it offered us the best combination of stiffness, strength and lightweight than any other material.

Q: Why do you only offer Shimano style wheels? A: While the wheels are offered with Shimano freehub bodies, your dealer can easily get a Campagnolo freehub through Bontrager. Swapping the freehub is not any more difficult than pulling one off and pushing the replacememt onto the axle.
